Experimental investigation of the adhesive layer’s impact on the Riv-Bonding process and joint quality

Interrupted experimental tests were carried out to investigate the impacts of adhesive layer on Riv(et)-Bonding processes with different die types. The layer’s influences quality Riv-Bonded joints top sheet thickness (Tt) also studied. It was found that distribution trapped significantly affected by Tt rather than type. Deformation and fracture behaviours apparently influenced adhesive. negatively interlock formation, while its effects remaining bottom depended heavily Tt.
